Is it weird that all i ever want to spend time thinking about is getting married and having kids?

Actually I’m most excited about having and raising kids. The husband is just a necessary component. (Kidding. Kind of.)

Yesterday’s Unity fashion show consisted of me staring at all the models’ legs and wishing mine were as awesome as theirs. But genetics aside, those legs would only be possible if I had never picked up sports. And a life with skinny model legs is far less satisfying than a life playing soccer and ultimate.

My life is comprised of two completely contradictory types of days: having absolutely nothing to do and being really lazy versus having a crazily packed schedule that has you sprinting from one meeting to the next.

Why can’t I just find the balance?
Ideal: A still relatively busy day where none of my meetings overlap and I have some time to sit down and eat a real meal and catch my breath.

Pain from my broken toe is slowly spreading throughout my foot. Should I be concerned at all…?

Seriously, a perfect day. I have to study now for my final tomorrow, but I don’t regret a second of the time I spent on the Lakefill today :)

Days like today make me wonder how someone could pick any other school over Northwestern <3

things to be excited about.

  • Just a handful of exams/papers to get through until the end of winter quarter.
  • SPRING BREAK IN TEXAS. Booked my flight home from Austin a few minutes ago. 19 more days!!!!
  • Probably living off-campus next year?! Debating between a bigger, cheaper house versus a smaller but more nicely furnished apartment.

Not quite sure why I’m answering this since it’s an anonymous question… but yeah, my stats weren’t stellar, especially considering the fact that I went to the biggest nerd school in NJ. Anyways:

  • SAT - 2230
  • ACT - 35
  • SATII - 800 Math2c, 720 Lit, 700 US History
  • GPA - 3.67/4.0 (definitely dropped a lot more by the end of senior year)
  • Extracurriculars: 4 years of Harvesters, secretary & senior leader; 4 years on the varsity fencing team, 1 year squad captain; 3 years in DECA, went to Nationals junior year; 2 years as a middle school tutor; 3 years teaching soccer to mentally-disabled kids.
  • Oh and I was in the 2-year IB Diploma program. It kicked my ass, but I still got my IB diploma.

That’s it. I also think it’s a complete fluke that I got into NU, lol.

Time to buckle down until the end of winter quarter.

3 exams, 2 papers, and 1 presentation away from the freedom that is spring break. As much as I’m enjoying my time in college, I’m ready for a nice, relaxing break. 26 1/2 days until Corpus Christi and beautiful warm weather and the beach and Texas Centex and GETTIN’ MAH TAN ON!

Things that will help me survive the hell that is to come:

  1. Hayeon’s visiting in 3 days!
  2. the aftermath of Dance Marathon (teehee)
  3. class registration this Thursday — actually this can either be really good or really bad.

Thoughts at 5 am in the morning:

  • I should learn to procrastinate less and study more effectively.
  • Dang, Childish Gambino is perfect for my mood right now.
  • Whoa, winter quarter is actually passing by pretty quickly.
  • The previous statement makes me sad :( I love college.
  • My schedule is packed from now until finals week, but I kind of like being busy.
  • The more I think about it, the more pumped I get to spend spring break with the frisbee team (SB2K12 with the Nuts and Hos!). Beach lovin’ and practicing layouts in the sand for a week! Hopefully I can come back to campus spring quarter with a nice, natural tan.
  • Why am I fantasizing about spring break right now? I have a midterm in 10 hours.
  • I’m really excited for Hayeon to visit me next week, teehee. Can’t wait to show off NU to another BCA kid.
  • I need to get my act together for spring quarter. Moderation is key!!!!
